Walter's wacky adventures

2020-12-17

So my younger brother Walter has a thing last few years for extreme personal challenge, well he always was into sports but this is something different. he had always been into sports since we were little and he had endured multiple Iron man racers but this is just something way in the left field.
As he is now living in New Zealand for about 8 years. Last year (December 26, 2014) he had decided to bike his way around New Zealand. Flying down to Christchurch and peddling his way down to south island and way back to Auckland. I do must agree that was some bike adventure through the New Zealand country side. It took him about a month (180hr)to do the estimated 2900km trek. I'm sure he had planned this much earlier to prepare and get ready, never the less that was some achievement.
I had the pleasure of flying down the following month on my 50th birthday and doing the route with him again but we did it in a 4 wheel means of transportation which is bit more comfortable and much quicker.
This year (December 26, 2015) again, he had started on his much more extreme trek ever, not sure what made him do it as it will be near or in excess of 10,000km trip starting from the very southern most city in Argentina, Chile, through Bolivia, parts of Brazil, Peru and final destination in Colombia taking him estimated 4 months. The mode of transportation is a brand new 2 wheeler  bare and loaded
